CS & JB - Duo or Bluegrass Band

For those of you who know us as 2/5 of Chris Stuart & Backcountry, we're now 2/2 of Chris Stuart & Janet Beazley. We still have the big band going, though, and can play either as a full bluegrass band or as a duo.

We play mostly original material in the tradition of bluegrass, folk, Americana, and even early music, and enjoy putting on a good show. In the past nine years we've toured the US, Canada, England, Europe, and the Middle East, and have recorded seven albums. See our Music page for samples.

When we play as a band, we're joined by the great guitarist Eric Uglum and Austin Ward on bass, along with any one of a bunch of great players who have played with us in the past, including Christian Ward (now with Sierra Hull) on fiddle, Ivan Rosenberg on dobro, Michael Witcher on dobro, Megan Lynch on fiddle, Brian Wicklund on fiddle, or Jesse Brock on mandolin. We're lucky to have such a great cast of players to draw from.

If you're interested in hiring us for a concert, workshop, teaching, writing or editing, please contact us at chris@chrisstuart.com or jmbeazley@gmail.com.
