Chris has been nominated by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for Print Media Person of the Year for his articles in Bluegrass Unlimited magazine. The awards will be presented on Thursday, October 4 at the World of Bluegrass trade show and conference in Nashville, TN.

The band will also be at World of Bluegrass showcasing in the Huck Finn Suite on Wednesday night at 12:30 a.m., NCC Level 2, Room 207. If you're going to be there, please come by! We'll have the new band of Chris on guitar, Janet on banjo, Eric Uglum on lead guitar, Christian Ward on fiddle, and Austin Ward on bass.

We'll be touring in northern Europe in November on a two-week tour.

Chris's article on the Infamous Stringdusters is the cover article for the October Bluegrass Unlimited magazine.

Larry Cordle recorded Chris's song "First Train Robbery." It's the first radio release from Cord's new album, "Took Down and Put Up" now out on Lonesome Day Records.

Eric Uglum's been busy building a brand new studio. It's a really great and comfortable world-class studio. Here are photos! We've started work on the next album.

We had a fantastic time teaching recently at Augusta Heritage in Elkins, West Virginia; then at the American River Acoustic Music Camp in Coloma, California; and at the British Columbia Bluegrass Camp in Sorrento, BC, Canada.

Janet also taught at the Midwest Banjo Camp and the American Banjo Camp.

Janet and Chris are scheduled to teach a beginning harmony class together at Augusta in 2008.

Here's our harmony class at Sorrento this summer at the performance in Kukule. Click on the photo for more:
